Sherry Barker Abaldo lives in rural Maine (where she was born and raised) and Las Vegas, Nevada with her family. She writes fiction, poetry, essays, and screenplays. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Down East Magazine, Rattle, and on PBS, The History Channel, and in many other outlets. She holds degrees from Wellesley College and the University of Southern California film school. She has also lived in Los Angeles, Maui, and Santorini, Greece — all places that have seeped into her soul. When not writing, reading, or researching, she may be SCUBA diving or ecstatic dancing.
